Band, 1998-2005 US, Memphis, Tennessee
Alternative
Punk garage band from Memphis, Tennesse, USA. Originally started in the mid-90s as a project by Jay Reatard (Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums), with the help of Greg Cartwright (Oblivians) on drums. The first Album ("Teenage Hate", 1998) includes Ryan Rousseau on drums (ex-The Wongs, moved from Arizona) and Steve Albundy (aka Steve Sleaze) on guitar, who was replaced on the second album ("Grown Up, Fucked Up", 1999) by Rich Crook and Sean Redd. The Reatards broke up in 1999 (Jay and Rich formed Lost Sounds), and briefly reunited around 2004, with Ryan and Steve again.
