On July 26, 1980, Jorge Barrientos Silva founded the Mexican Afro-Caribbean music group Recuerdos Del Son. With this group, they have made a cultural work that has been recognized by some segments of the intellectual and artistic structure. They participated in the most important festivals and theaters in Mexico.
