Red Symons (born June 13, 1949, Brighton, England) is a British-born Australian musician, writer, actor, composer, record producer, television and radio personality. He first came to prominence as the lead guitarist in the 1970s band Skyhooks. After the band's demise he gained notoriety by appearing on television; most notably on the classic Australian TV show "Hey Hey It's Saturday!" in which he judged amateur talent acts, usually sardonically, on the segment "Red Faces". He has continued in the media as an early morning host on ABC radio station 774 located in Melbourne, Victoria (his show is also broadcast on ABC local radio throughout the State of Victoria) as well as occasional appearances on television.
