A duo consisting of Richie Herbst (Interstellar Rec.) and Christian Zollner (Koma Elektronik) since 2006, based in Graz / Austria and Berlin / Germany. Following a phase characterized by harsh noise, they’re now into improvised soundscapes, some created on analog modular synthesizer, effects and homemade equipment, all situated at the interface of deep drones and unsettlingly beautiful harmonies. Regolith played on festivals like „Power To The People“ Vienna / 2009, „LiWoLi“ Linux Weeks Linz / 2010, „Heart Of Noise“ Innsbruck / 2011, „Ars Electronica“ Linz / 2011, „Vienna Soulfood Festival / Majas Musikmarkt“ Vienna / 2013, „Klangfestival“ Gallneukirchen / 2014, „Strictly Analog #2“ Ljubljana / 2014, “Audioart Festival” Pula / 2015. Cooperations with Stephan Roiss (lyrics), Phillipe Gerlach & Stefan Kushima (visuals, video), David Vanzan (performance), Julia Hartig (video), OchoReSotto (visuals, video), Fabian Lorenz (design).
