The story of RELIC SECURE is a story of two worlds. The Vocalist and the DJ. Relic started writing songs at the age of 15 over beats he was making at home with a small drum machine and a simple sampler. He released his first album "Street Scholars" in 1997. He co-founded Street Scholars Records with Sergio "DJ Serg" Monleon in 2001 and went on to release his sophomore album "Note to Self" in 2004 which featured artists such as Zion I, Pep Love (Heiroglyphics), and Eye Cue (Hobo Junction). Relic's unparalleled stage presence and ability to connect to any audience helped him to build a name for himself in the west coast hip hop community. In 2005, after going to school for music production Relic turned his attention to DJ'ing and Producing. He founded "Secure Dem Sound" and within a year was spinning all over the bay area. He quickly built a reputation through releasing quality mixtapes featuring exclusive tracks with the biggest names in Reggae music as well as showcasing new talent. Once again Relic's commanding stage presence and skills on the mic quickly set him apart and added to the success of weekly and monthly events. To date Relic has been a stage DJ for artist such as Sister Nancy, JahDan Blakkammore ,Pressure, Lutan Fyah, Terry Ganzie, Turbulence, Niyorah and Tousaint the Liberator, just to name a few. In 2011 Relic was asked by producer Cody Wille to emcee in a new EDM group called "The Supreme Action League." In the months to follow the group made they're debut album, and did a number of shows all over the state of Colorado. One of the tracks from the album got the attention of an executive from "Abercrombie and Fitch" and was licensed to play in all of their stores worldwide everyday for 3 months. They went on to work with George Clinton and the P-Funk Family on a single which has yet to be released. In 2013 Relic began working with a Denver based band called "Signal Path." They're first show together was at the "Global Dance Festival" at Red Rocks Colorado. They spent the following week in the studio tracking a new album, and will be touring throughout 2013 to promote the new project. Relic also has numerous solo tracks and videos to be released throughout 2014 which tastefully fuse all of his influences. Hip Hop, Reggae, Dancehall and Electro combined in a way which is immediately appealing to listeners of each genre. The music and the live show, which is a full band experience, is sure to make waves in the music community. And change the conversation about what it is to be an Emcee.
