Romanian pianist born in Alba Iulia (1949) and studied at the College of Music in Cluj-Napoca, taking piano class under Valeria Taban. In 1972, he graduated from the Ciprian Porumbescu Conservatoire in Bucharest, where he worked with Ovidiu Drimba, Gabriel Amiraș and Gh. Halmoș. Also a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Bucharest, he attended specialization classes at the P. I. Ceaikovski Conservatoire in Moscow (prof. S. Neuhaus). He has a PhD in music and is currently a lecturer at the National University of Music in Bucharest. Remus Manoleanu took part in numerous festivals in Basel, Oldenburg, Berlin, São Paulo, London, Dublin, etc. He plays in Romania, as well as abroad (Great Britain, Brazil, North Korea, Russia, Germany, The Netherlands, France, Syria, The United States of America, etc.) So far he recorded over 3 thousand minutes for the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Society, while also recording contemporary Romanian works with record label Electrecord. He either sang in first audition or had dedicated for him numerous piano and orchestra concerts, solo piano compositions or lieder for voice and piano.
