Composer
A.k.a. Jean-Baptiste Chevrier
Birth : Buxeuil (France), 04th of June-1881 Death : Paris (France), 29th of Jully-1959 Pseudonym used by Jean-Baptiste Chevrier during his career as a composer. Blind composer (following an accident at the age of 11), this play is his only dramatic work, but René de Buxeuil remains mainly the composer of many melodramatic songs of the 20s, including "Y a des loups". His name is also found today in the biographies of playwright Jean Genet, which he collected in 1925 (the writer was then fifteen years old) and who was his private secretary for several months before being accused of theft by his protector, and then imprisoned at Mettray.
