The surprising success which met part 1 (a sale more than 25,000 boxes and two Dutch Awards, a Gouden Platendoos and an Edison) encouraged the orchestra to complete the project with a part 2. the second collection emphasises especially the work of Diepenbrock, Van der Horst, and Vermeulen, who also appeared in part 1, but broadens and enriches the range of the first part.
