Ricardo José Aguirre González (Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, May 9, 1939 - Died November 8, 1969, in Maracaibo, Venezuela) simply known as "Ricardo Aguirre" was a Venezuelan singer, songwriter, musician, teacher and broadcaster, nicknamed "El Monumental De La Gaita" or "El Padre De La Gaita" since he composed the success of Venezuelan gaita "La Grey Zuliana". brother of Rixio, Alves, and Renato Aguirre Origin of his artistic nickname: The lawyer Octavio Urdaneta, friend of the artist, on one occasion, decided to call him, "El Monumental" without much thought. Later, Octavio would justify that nickname given the performance quality of Ricardo Aguirre as a singer and musician, and for his powerful voice and personal simplicity.
