Richard Allen

UK journalist, artist & music entrepreneur. Allen joined forces in 1991 with Ivor Trueman to create Delerium Records and co-edit Freakbeat, a magazine devoted to the psychedelic era, through which their releases were issued. The Freak Emporium was also a development of their trading tactics. See also Allen's labels Molten Records, Lightning Tree and the band Porcupine Tree, whom he managed. Allen sold his catalogue in 2004 to Snapper Music and also Cherry Red, but continues a Retailer's campaign [rAVAS] against unfair trading.
