McWalter is most well known for being the original guitarist for the Canadian post-hardcore band, Silverstein. He had contributed to the band's debut release, Summer's Stellar Gaze EP. Later, he left the band for unknown reason and was replaced by Neil Boshart. However, he had provided additional guitars on band's second EP, When the Shadows Beam and the debut studio album, When Broken Is Easily Fixed. McWalter is not known to contributed to any further musical performances.
