Composer / Producer of Electronic, Classical and Jazz
For the US composer/producer mostly known for the song "Maybe", see Richard Barrett (5). Born in Swansea (Wales) in 1959. Barrett composes instrumental as well as electronic works. As a performer of live electronic music, Barrett has been working since 1986 in the duo FURT with Paul Obermayer, as well as collaborating with vocalist Ute Wassermann (his partner). Having lived in both Amsterdam (where he taught at the Institute of Sonology in Den Haag) & Berlin, Barrett has now returned to England & teaches at Brunel University in London.
