Guitarist / Singer / Song Writer - Nova Scotia, Canada Feb 20, 1945 - April 6, 2013 He came to notoriety first as the bass player in the Five Sounds in the mid-60’s, later renamed Central Nervous System, who released their landmark album, “I Could Have Danced All Night” in 1968, recorded in New York. Ritchie joined the Maritime supergroup, Soma, in 1969, and they had a national hit in 1971 with “Train”. But it was in 1980 that Ritchie’s “Oakley” band garnered great reviews, and airplay across the country with their one and only studio album, self-titled.
