Single US 1967 on Ridon label
Rock and R&B/Soul (Soul, Garage Rock, Folk Rock)
Unreleased acetate by this band that put out one official single on Rust Records. It appears to have been recorded in November 1967. It's a cover of Ike & Tina Turner's song "Somebody (Somewhere) Needs You". The B-side is a cover version of Buffalo Springfield's "Do I Have To Come Right Out And Say It" by Rick Keefer himself. The band "The Mourning Reign" did live gigs with Buffalo Springfield at that time. They were supposed to cover this song, but decided against it as they were considered more of a hard rock band. Rick ended up covering this song himself performing the vocals and playing the guitar (even though he was a bassist in those days).
