A.k.a. Richard Dean Powell
Author, arranger, musician, producer (Feb. 21, 1935 - June 21, 2006). Powell produced and arranged more than 200 albums (mainly Christian music) for such acts as the The Bill Gaither Trio, Imperials, The Oak Ridge Boys, Kenneth Copland, The Speer Family and Pat Boone. He had 35 choir books published, including 16 children's albums. With wife Sylvia (Salemi) Powell, he collaborated on numerous music programs, among them Treehouse Club for the Childrens Television Series, Helen O'Connell's Christmas Album, Sunshine Factory (Childrens Television Series), and the Pat Boone Family Christmas Special.
