Singer of Pop
A.k.a. 石井里佳 Peachy (9)
Rika Ishii is a Japanese singer and actress. She started her career under the management of Kaori Okui in 2000 as J-Pop idol singer Peachy and released three singles before joining idol agency Hello! Project as a soloist in 2001 as 石井リカ (RIka Ishii, different reading). She participated on several compilation albums and was part of the one-shot shuffle unit Odoru 11, before leaving the agency in 2002. In 2003 she re-debuted as a singer using her real name (石井里佳). The artist keeps refering to a blue teddybear, as can be seen in several album and single releases. It comes from a phrase her father told her when she was a child: "A o i Ku ma" ("Blue Bear"). Each letter representing a sentence of life wisdom to carry with you on your way through life.
