Rise of the Rat started in late 2008 originally as a five piece with Steve Milligan (ex MYC) on lead vox, Rick Munro and Karl Mautner (ex HBlock101) on guitars, Emanuel Gadze (ex Voodoo Love Cats/Boy Dot Com) on bass and Travis Dempsey (ex Living End) on drums. Steve and Travis left, with Matt Thomson taking over drums and Karl taking over lead vocals in addition to playing guitar. Nick Grant came on board as drummer in mid 2012.
