L.A. band formed in 1964 and signed to Columbia label. Members: Ry Cooder (Guitars, Vocals), Gary Marker (Bass Guitar), Taj Mahal (Vocals, Harmonica, Keyboards, Guitar), Kevin Kelley (Drums), Jesse Lee Kincaid (Guitar, Vocals). . Terry Melcher produced several sessions for these Ash Grove regulars from which Columbia took 'Devil's Got My Woman' and 'Candy Man' for a single release with picture sleeve in 1966. Nothing else was forthcoming until the vaults were opened in 1992 for a CD release of the sessions by Columbia/Legacy. Sundazed also released a vinyl version at the turn of the millennium.
