Thrash Metal band from Chile formed in 1996 in Santiago. Years active: 1996 - 2001, 2011-present Biography Ritual: Ritual was born in 1996 by a group of friends including Marcelo Gajardo and Paulo Toledo under the influence of Exodus, Vio-Lence, Testament and Forbidden mainly. Over time they were recruiting a large number of musicians with whom they began to take the first creative steps but it was finally in early 1997 where they began to shape the creations of the band and in a concrete and responsible way with Luis Bruna (Drums ), Victor McNamara (Bass), Jorge Carmona (Guitars), Marcelo Gajardo (Vocal) and Paulo Toledo (Lead Guitars). With this formation the band manages to enter the recording studios of HYT by the hand of the sound engineer Mariano Pavez and Claudio Torres in October of 1997 to record their EP titled "Twisting Your Mind", This EP would open the doors to Ritual to begin with a number of recitals throughout Santiago and radio interviews interviews etc ... One of the things that caught the attention of the band was their musical proposal and the technique with which they developed their music, leading them to play with the bands most connoted at that time at the national level ... In 1998 Luis Bruna withdrew from the band due to health problems, which would be replaced by Juan Marambio until then the drummer of Deforme, in turn the same year the Bass player also retires Victor McNamara who would be replaced by Remis Ramos. With this change of alignment the band continued playing until the end of 2001, when finally Paulo Toledo decided to leave the band for reasons of studies. From that moment the band is in Standby following each of the remaining musicians working on their own personal and musical projects. After failed attempts, it was not until the end of 2011 that Paulo Toledo decided to reform the band in a concrete and concrete manner, for which he recruited the musicians who currently make up Ritual: Victor Varela (Vocals), Cristian Gutierrez (Bass), Luis Silva ( Drums), Christian Acosta (Lead Guitars) and Paulo Toledo (Lead Guitars), With this formation the band begins its return to the stages and in these moments they prepare to launch their second album that will be called "Global Terror" .The new Ritual album will be released by the Australis Records label at the end of 2015 which consists of 10 plates.
