Rob Allingham
Producer
Music historian, archivist, consultant, and producer for the Gallo Record Company (and subsequent owners Johnnic Communications which became Avusa, which became Times Media Limited). After completing a degree in history at the University of California, Allingham left the USA in 1975 for South Africa to work in the (steam) railway sector, and eventually the film industry. Owing to his interest in "race records", a vast private collection of shellacs and wealth of knowledge, he eventually became the first and only archivist thus far of the Gallo Record Archive in 1990. His tenure lasted until 2008.
