Single UK 2013 on B.A.D. Recordings label
Rock and Pop (Alternative Rock)
From the YouTube description: WHAT THIS IS... I recorded this 'song' in July 2007 over three days. It started out as an improvised drum track - I just pressed record and played the drums for around 12 minutes. I kept the first take I did, hence it's a bit ropey in places. I then got the electric piano and played along to it, writing melodies and chord patterns as I went. From there I added all the other stuff like guitars, bass, synths, organ, percussion, etc. Finally I added the vocals, which was basically just me dicking about with a microphone and a Kaoss Pad for 12 minutes. I did write a few lyrics for some sections, but decided they didn't really fit so I recorded them backwards. In other words, I reversed the whole track and wrote a melody to the backwards version, then recorded the vocals along to it, and then reversed the whole thing again. At least I think that's how I did it. I can't really remember to be honest. Anyway... I'm not sure why I wanted it to be 12 minutes, or why I decided to do it at all - but I quite like it, so thought I'd stick it on the internet.
