Bluegrass guitarist, vocalist, and mandolin player, Rob Smith, is native of Silver Spring, Maryland USA, and has performed in bands since the age of 13. Smith has also worked in sound production with touring rock bands and worked at writing songs for a NYC based publishing company. He moved to Garrett County, Maryland USA in 1975 and ran his own woodworking business, building everything from furniture to custom homes. Living in Northern Garrett County with his wife Cheryl, Smith has recently started his own music publishing company (early to mid 2010's), Smithwood Publishing BMI.
