A.k.a. Emanuel Robinson
Robbie King Robinson was born Emanuel Robinson in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica 1939 . Both parents were farmers. He came to England in 1962 and recoded his first 45rpm single in 1963, entitled “Jonah”, which was recorded at Tin Pan Alley Studio, in Denmark Street (off Charing Cross Road) London. Robbie began to play the Hammond organ in 1969, having been inspired by such musicians as Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff, Jack McDuff and Richard Groovy Holmes. Robbie was featured playing piano on the music video “Crazy”, by the band Hot House ( who are now known as M People) Robbie has his own label. Composition records and Composition music publishing.
