David Byrne's vocal was added at Island Studios, London. The Frippertronics loop for B2 was the first piece performed in concert at The Calgary Planetarium on August 8th 1979; for B1 the second piece, first house, at Madame Wong's, Los Angeles, July 25th 1979. B1 was released in its original form as "The Zero Of The Signified"; solo guitar added at Arny's Shack, Parkstone, England. Both B1 and B2 remixed to Sony Digital Stereo System at Marcus Studios, London. Network draws together the period 1984 to 1987.
