Robert "Smiggy" Smith, born on March 30, 1946 in Kiel, is a British guitarist born in Germany, a member of Blue, a Scottish pop/rock musical band, which was formed in Glasgow in 1973. Smiggy has performed with Buffy Sainte-Marie (tour keyboardist), Blue, the Dingoes, David Soul, Writing on the Wall, Orphans of the Storm, Cliff Bennet's Rebellion, and many others. He was signed to A&M records. As a live sound engineer, he toured with Robin Trower and as a recording engineer he worked with Jerry Garcia, Journey, Merrell Fankhauser, Elliot Mazer, Yesterday and Today, Mimi Farinia, Joan Baez, and others. He also performed with Juice Newton on the album 'Come to Me' as a session guitarist.
