Classically trained, turned-boogie woogie pianist. Born 29 Nov 1912 in Pittsburgh PA. Worked as a hotel pianist throughout the 40's -- collaborated with Stuff Smith and Barrett Deems in the 1940's, before disappearing in 1949. Died 21 May 1981 in Joliet IL.
