Spoken Word and Folk
French poet. Robert Desnos was at the vanguard of Surrealism and one of the first poets to explore automatic writing. He was born 4 July 1900 in Paris, France and died 8 June 1945 in Terezín (Theresienstadt) in occupied Czechoslovakia (in "Malá pevnost" which was an inner part of Terezín used only for political prisoners) from typhoid, only weeks (but still in May) after the camp's liberation.
