Robert Hall Lewis was winner of the 1972 Walter Hinrichsen Award for Composers, which funds were combined with grants from the Alice M. Ditson Fund of Columbia University, and the Publication and Research Fund of Goucher College to make his recording possible. The recording of Perle's THREE MOVEMENTS was supported by a grant from the Martha Baird Rockefeller Fund for Music, Inc. Lewis recorded July 3, 1974; Perle recorded December 20, 1974, both in the West Ham Central Mission by Robert Auger. ℗ 1975 Composers Recordings, Inc.
