"...graduated from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester "With Distinction" in 1944. He then enlisted in the Navy and served in WWII for three years. After playing with the Rochester Philharmonic and San Antonio Symphony, Bob moved to New York in 1950. After obtaining his Local 802 Union card Bob got a job as a substitute percussionist at Radio City Music Hall. He soon became a full time tympanist and within eight months, became the orchestra manager and contractor as well. Bob loved Radio City and stayed for the remainder of his career. He retired in 1996 after 45 Christmas shows..."
