A.k.a. Robert Jean Francis Lelièvre
French 60's and 70's guitarist, vocalist and composer active in Denmark (October 1, 1942 – August 26, 1973). Best remembered as member of the Danish folk trio Cy, Maia & Robert and as leader of the progressive rockband PAN (2). Deserted the French army in 1962 and after three years of travelling he settled in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1965 sonn after forming Cy, Maia & Robert. Following the 1967 break up of Cy, Maia & Robert Lelièvre toured and recorded with Alex Campbell and the following year with Iain Campbell (2) as the duo Robert And Iain. In 1969 and 1970 he enjoyed his most prominent musical period as leader of the Danish progressive rock band PAN (2) which released a single album that in various rankings stays in the absolute top of all time Danish rock albums. In 1971 he recorded a solo album which remains unreleased as it was classified as uncommercial by his label. In 1972 France issued an amnesti for desserters and Lelièvre returned to Franche where he nevertheless was sentenced and served time. After his release he returned to Denmark, but traumatized and dissatisfied with the music industry he tokk his own life in 1973.
