I’ve been writing and performing my songs as my main vocation for over 30 years now. It’s taken me into all kinds of places and cultures, meeting people from varied backgrounds - a great privilege Sometimes people call me a singer, a songwriter, a worship leader... I think one of the best compliments was when someone described me as an “encourager”. I do like to feel that my songs/ministry (whatever you like to call it) bring people encouragement for their walk of life (to quote from a song I cover) whether it’s helping them through stuff, encouraging them on their journey to/through faith or just giving people the opportunity to take a breather That’s why I love singing in village halls, pubs, churches, schools, theatres, cafes, wherever seems to be appropriate at any given time
