Robert Summers born August 13, 1940 in Cleburne, Texas Painter, sculptor and singer of gospel music. He is a founding member of the Texas Association of Professional artists and won the Association's best of show and first prize/oils. In 1976, he was named Bicentennial Artist of Texas by the Governor and State Legislature. He has also been awarded the gold metal by the Franklin Mint as well national and regional honors.His limited edition prints are sold out in advance of printing and thousands quene up for a glimpse ofhis originals at shows and exhibitions. Bob has performed in a well known top-forty group, the Heartbeats, as a teenager and recorded a song on the Epic label which was named 'Hit of the Week" by Billboard Magazine. But he now sings only, Contemporary Christian music to show his love for the Lord.
