Follow-up to his "The Wild Party" album, Robert Wegmann expands his instrumentation with the Chapman stick, injecting a cerebral edge to his pop sensibilities that hearkens comparisons to a King Crimson coloring to the XTC-rich style. The tunes are a bit headier on this release, displaying more intent toward experimentation. The vocals still remain light-hearted and rich, giving a humanity to the dense mass of cerebral instrumentation. This release is a significant maturing by Wegmann, boosting him to a level that fuses pop music with innovative musicianship.
