This is one of the legendary Witmark demos of Bob Dylan's early sessions. At the time, he was selling songs from his repertoire for other artists to interpret. He first recorded this song as part of the Broadside Records tape in 1962. This version is the last studio version he recorded. This acetate is the only known physical recorded item that features Dylan's original last name. B-Side is a small false take. It was found in an envelope with a colored sticker affixed on the front, it looks signed, but on top of it lies a piece of tape with "Walking Down The Line" scrawled and faded.
