Drummer, percussionist and composer born 1963 in Castel San Pietro near Bologna, Italy. Rossi studied congas under the Puerto Rican percussionist, Daniel Barrajanos and later deepened his percussion studies in Brazil. His percussion set, comprised of drum elements and traditional Afro-Brazilian percussion elements resulted from this intensification. His encounters with many musical styles including jazz, funk, rock and the blues have enabled him to develop a great sense of versatility and expressiveness with his own personalized instrument. He has worked with many artists which include Ray Mantilla, Jack Walrath, Pastaboys, Rosalia de Souza, Silvia Donati, Giancarlo Bianchetti, Francesca Touré, Neffa, Rogerio Tavares, and Parto delle Nuvole Pesanti.
