Rock Critics was a free form project started in 1980 by French musicians of different backgrounds and musical education: Luc Marianni (electronic, prog-rock), Jean-François Papin (rock, folk, prog), Pierre Tassone (classical, jazz, prog) and Laurent Buvry (pop-rock). In 1982 for their second official release, the group only had Marianni and Papin left and a new member, pianist Patricia Albertini (classical) joined in.
