A.k.a. Rock & Gee
Rock N' Gee & DJ Shawn was founded in the late 80's after three friends decided to link together to take the Rock & Gee brand to another level. The group has a album called Born To Talk that never got released, but two songs off the album did. Swing Beat being their hit single with b-side Dual Tones hitting the airwaves in 1989 with video. The group was fortunate to work and perform with the greats of the music industry, which include recording their album out the home studio of Tony Bennett (Hillside Studios). These Bergen County NJ residents (Englewood & Teaneck) belonged to a class act group of friends called "The J.U.K. Posse". It was a $5k loan that got this project off the ground and the thirst of everyone of the JUK. This movement was the main reason they were successful with signing with Polygram Records (Mercury). Although they are considered the forgotten in the hip-hop game, it's known on the streets they could never be duplicated!
