Rocket Empire are the Portland, Oregon based duo of Jon Cates and Dave Dish. Their sound is a fusion of acoustic indie rock and down-tempo, on level with Kruder & Dorfmeister and Nightmares on Wax. Their first two albums ‘Rocket Empire’ and ‘See Me Speak in Color’ saw heavy support from SIRIUS XM Chill, KCRW, KEXP and SOMA FM Groove Salad. Rocket Empire has seen an amazing global reach of fans and listeners. Their sound is hard to define at times, lush soundscapes and sometime minimal use of drums makes Rocket Empire's music a listening experience. Having roots in all genres of music, from classical to metal, the two combine influences and styles to create a truly unique sound.
