The Soul Alchemist of the Song Poem RODD ROGERS and TERRY PETERS - SUNSHINE AND SOUL LP (M.S.R. Records/LPM-205) Rodd Rogers is the same artist as Rodd Keith, though listed as Rogers on this LP. Rodd is the Joe Meek/Phil Spector of the Song Poem world. The opposite of a "song sharking", he turned the odd, the insignifact and the unworkable and turned them into great songs! Nearly ANY poem has the potential to become a good song when recorded by Rodd. The post-Rodd MSR records remain interesting only for their ironic value, while Rodd's recordings are to be taken seriously.
