A.k.a. Jaquarius Mystic (3) Warm Leatherette
Rodney Bakerr is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and pioneer in the Chicago House Music scene, although not solely frequenting the early House music pionneers but also musicians from other realms such as i.e. Dizzy Gillespie. He was probably the first to add live instruments to the Chicago Jack sound within clubs music as well as on records. Rodney on the road included live guitar as well as electronic percussion and toured extensively through Europe with guitar-synth and the Chapman Stick. Wrote the original drum machine patterns for the Roland Synthesizer Company, maker of the legendary TR808 and TR909 drum machines. Rodney wrote the original house music patterns for these machines in the Roland Drum Machine Dictionary. These patterns were the first House patterns in print, were distributed around the world and are still heard on many dance hits today. Rodney Bakerr was behind the Rockin' House label but is also a visual artist and the the creator of RetroTech and RetroTechWorld, Anime/Mecha Based Robots.
