Musician of Dance
A.k.a. Robert Jähnert
Early in his childhood, he made his first contact to music when he learned to play the drums in music school. Yet, it took some more years until Robert Jähnert aka Rody discovered his interest for electronic music and eventually started off as a drum’n’bass and jungle vocal artist in the middle of the 90s. Together with some friends, he put his drum’n’bass addictions into action and founded the Breakaholics in Butzbach, a small city close to Frankfurt. As he moved to Hamburg a couple of years later, he continued his activities and founded the Elbdisharmonie festival. After 15 years of break beats, deep house and techno tunes filled his style with some new inspiration – by the way, two genres, to which also his friend and former band-mate Martin Stimming had turned. Meanwhile as an art director, music contents also started to play an increasingly important role in Rody’s job life and so he decided to learn the basics of music production at the SAE Institute in Hamburg. Since then, he has been busily playing with deep kicks and melodic leads, which he has already shown on his former release on Snork Enterprises.
