Roger Troutman had formed various different bands with his four brothers, including "Lil" Roger And His Fabulous Vels. The Human Body was initially the first group of the Troutman Brothers (and family) before the formation of Zapp in 1980. The Human Body released three LP's; in 1976, under the name of "Roger & The Human Body", and in 1984 and 1985, under the name of "The Human Body" with different front-men.
