"Xylyl" composed for a performance at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in Boston, July 15, 1989. Each piece (excet "V-2") is based around a sample, sometimes run by a sequencer and other times played live. The titles of the pieces reflect the primary samplea used. Recorded Fall 1989 and mixed Spring 1990 at The Headroom Studio, Boston. "A Woman In Half" is the soundtrack to a film by the same title, directed by Michael Burlingame. Composed/improvised and recorded Spring 1990 at The Chicken Loft, Cambridge.
