Musician of Rock
Born in 1954 in Luxeuil les Bains (France). He learned to play the piano at the age of 7, and 3 years after he started to play the accordion. When he turned 15, he purchased an acoustic guitar and started to learn how to compose and write music on his own. Upon turning 20, he joined a band named 'Secession' (known for playing US & French pop covers in local clubs) where he played both keyboards and accordion, and learned how to play various instruments such as bass, drums & electric guitar. In 1978, he found himself coming into his own in regards to his music. This when he wrote 'Christelle', the story of a 6 year old girl (named after cousin), who meets an evil genius that proclaims to show her all of the evil in the world. This is how the title 'Christelle ou la découverte du mal' was derived, which translates to 'Christelle or the discovering of Evil'. In 1979, He approached the members of 'Secession' in an attempt to find a band to back the show. He was a bit hesitant at first due to a large gap at the time (he was only 24, where as the majority of the band was 30 years of age), but they agreed and Rol was on his way to creating his first album.
