Founded in 1961, Romanos Choir is named after the Byzantine Poet of the 6th century, Romanos Melodos, and goes back to the 1100 anniversary of the city of Essen. The nondenominational choir leaves with the authentic Interpretation of Russian Orthodox Church chants the familiar literature Western-style.
