Born in Winchester, Kentucky (January 30, 1916). One of his earliest jobs was staff musician at Ford Motor Company, performing at industry functions. His early groups included The Kentucky String Ticklers and The Trail Blazers. He also had radio shows on WNOP/Newport KY, WXYZ/Detroit, WOAI/San Antonio, WLW/Cincinnati, and WLAP/Lexington, KY. He was in a 1970's version of Sons Of The Pioneers. He died January 3, 1993 in Chatsworth, California.
