Williams came to Stuttgart in the 1960s as a GI and eventually became the first afro-american newscaster on AFN (American Forces Network). In Germany he is best known for many TV appearances as a host ("Spaß am Dienstag"), narrator ("Mounted by The Gods"), actor ("Die Bubi Scholz Story"), musician, cabaret artist, entertainer.
