RosaRubea is a multimedial project which involves music, poetry and visual art. It is Expression, Vision and Manifestation. Art and Creation in RosaRubea are exploration and experimenting in the territories of the Unknown that in the live dimension become Ritual. RosaRubea is the alchemical Rubedo, the ultimate phase of the "Opus Magnum" or "Opus Chemicum", announcing the transmutation of vile metal into Gold. RosaRubea was born in Milan between 2009 and 2010 from the collaboration between Daniela Bedeski (already known as lead soprano voice of the cult band Camerata Mediolanense) and Pino Carafa (electronic music composer) who also collaborated with Camerata Mediolanense, answering to a strong expressive and creative urge. Since the beginning, the spirit which guides the duo is that of experimenting: electronic music and the versatile voice of the talented soprano Daniela Bedeski (concept creator, co-author of the music and author of the lyrics) perfectly blend, incarnating an intense creative dynamism. Soon the wish to widen the duo transforming it into an ensemble blending electronic with classical music realizes itself as Marco Bosio, piano, Zeno Gabaglio, cello, and Michele Fiore, drums, join the band. Thus was born the debut EP, "The Fire and The Rose", issued on April 28 2011 for the meritorious Italian label Old Europa Cafe, album centered on the concept of birth-death-rebirth through the four elements. The ensemble with its debut EP draws the attention of the main Italian music magazines and the Italian and foreign webzines, with large-scale recognitions. RosaRubea's international debut takes place soon in June 2011 at the XX Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, on the prestigious Schauspielhaus stage. In 2012 an important change takes place in the band, as Pino Carafa quits the ensemble while Yann Turrini, synths and samplers, and Ermanno Fabbri, guitar, join in. The experimental vocation of the band now opens to a wider musical spectrum, moving towards an estranging psychedelia and a sometimes rough and sharp electronic sound, onto which Bedeski's voice, now soft now deep, always intense, shapes new soundscapes. After the issue in February 2013 of "TRE ERT TRE", CDr, OEC, live at the Villa Festival 2012, art limited edition of 111 copies, the band works hard on its forthcoming album: thus on September 11 2015 RosaRubea issues its first full-length album, "Chrysalide", CD, Old Europa Cafe. "Chrysalide" is a concept album of transformation: the metamorphosis of the Chrysalis mark the change towards a further musical and expressive research. The album gets excellent reviews on the main Italian music magazines (Rockerilla, Rumore, Blow Up) and on Italian and foreign webzines, many of which include "Chrysalide" in their 2015 "Best-of".
