American conductor, who founded the Empyrean Ensemble at the University Of California, Davis. He studied music theory and composition at the New England Conservatory and the Brandeis University with John Heiss, Martin Boykan and Luciano Berio. He is professor at the University Of California, Davis and taught also at Stanford University and the Brandeis University, additionally hei is original member of The Merv Griffin Ensemble. He earned numerous grants and commissions, honors, prizes and fellowships (Guggenheim, Tanglewood, ISCM).
