Album AU 1994 on Tall Poppies label
Classical (Contemporary)
Track 1 recorded by Lee Buddle at Sound Mine Studios, North Perth, October 1992. Commissioned by Evos Music as one of a series of one minute pieces by West Australian composers to be played on Radio RTR during the Artage Festival, October, 1992. From the liner notes: "A piano is said to be 'ruined' (rather than 'neglected' or 'devestated') when it has been abandoned to all weathers with the result that few or none of its notes sound like those of an even tempered upright piano." Track 2 recorded by Colin Preston, ABC Sydney, June 1993. Track 3 recorded on May 22, 1993 (Nathan Crotty on piano); May 15, 1993 (Ross Bolleter on accordion); and April 1993 (the readings). Track 4 recorded on February 28, 1993 at PICA (Cliff Blackburn on piano) and May 22, 1993 at Victoria Park (Nathan Crotty). Track 5 recorded by Ross Bolleter, Albany, WA, 1986.
